Questions

Questions about documents

Can I edit a PDF after converting it?

Yes: convert it to DOCX or ODT and you get back a document you write and correct as normal, with its paragraphs, tables and styles in place.

Is the page layout respected?

Yes. The engine is LibreOffice, the same one millions of offices run, so margins, typefaces, tables and images stay where they were.

What about a scanned PDF?

A scan is an image inside a PDF, so converting it gives you that image, not editable text. That needs character recognition.

Can I open Pages files without a Mac?

Yes: upload the .pages and choose DOCX or PDF. We also open Publisher, WordPerfect, Works and other formats no program recognises today.

Can I convert several at once?

Yes, and each one with its own output format in the same batch. When they are done you download them separately or all together in a ZIP.

What happens to the original file?

Once the conversion finishes the original is deleted: only the new file remains, in the format you chose. It is kept for up to 14 days so you can download it whenever suits you, and it travels and is stored encrypted.
